Direction: Cygnet Bay return

Please note itineraries are subject to change depending on tides and weather conditions.  Itineraries can be tailored for private group charters.

Day 1: Boarding

We start your Kimberley adventure with a 2-hour air-conditioned coach trip from Broome to Cygnet Bay. Sit back and relax as you learn about the surrounding country, culture and history. Board vessel at Cygnet Bay and enjoy the afternoon cruise out across King Sound with sunset drinks on the bow as we steam into the evening across the racing tide.

Day 2: Yampi Sound to Talbot Bay (Horizontal Falls)

Spend the day exploring Talbot Bay creeks and experience one of the ‘greatest wonders of the natural world’, the Horizontal Falls. Departing on the outgoing tide toward Kingfisher Islands to try your hand at some blue water fishing and hopefully catching your dinner, or just enjoying a drink and a good book as the sunsets.

Day 3: Montgomery Reef

It’s an early departure from Kingfisher Islands cruising up to Montgomery Reef to enjoy some fishing in the isolated Montgomery Islands over the top of the tide and watching the reef as the tide ebbs away and exposes itself.  Truly incredible natural viewing!  Continue cruising up the coast to anchor overnight on one of the many sheltered bays this strip has to offer.

Day 4: Hall Point Area - Port George IV

Enjoy some early morning beach combing for a bit of a stretch & oyster hunt or perhaps a spot of fishing if preferred. Visit Camden Harbour and Sheep Island – the failed settlement attempt by early Europeans. Then we cruising through Kuri Bay taking in some pearling history and drop the anchor in Port George or Hanover Bay.  Enjoy your evening ashore a secluded beach with a bonfire!

Day 5: St George Basin - Prince Regent River

A spot of morning Barra fishing to then catch the incoming tide to cruise into the St George Basin, enjoying a scenic ride up the Prince Regent River and the opportunity to do some walking and swimming in fresh water pools.  Enjoy your freshly caught Barra cooked on the BBQ by your on board chef..

Day 6: Prince Regent River

Wake up to the grandeur of your surrounds as we explore the upper reaches of the river. Perhaps climb up Kings Cascade Waterfall into the back waters of Cascade Creek, or try your hand at catching dinner in one of the tributaries of the Prince Regent River.  Back onboard for a sunset cruise back out of the river with drinks on the bow to reflect on this incredible place.

Day 7: Prince Regent River to Camden Sound

Its an early departure as we catch the outgoing tide out towards Camden Sound, a beautiful marine park where humpback whales are often spotted nurturing their calves during migration season. Back ashore it time for a freshwater swim at a secret site. Enjoy the evening dinner on the top deck under the stars for a magical evening.

Day 8: Doubtful Bay

Doubtful Bay and the options are plenty! With numerous choices of river and creek systems in this area to explore. Low tide is perfect for fishing for Barra, maybe try your hand at some mud crabbing as well as hidden swimming holes and waterfalls to visit. Enjoy your eighth night anchored in this secluded area surrounded by the beautiful Kimberley coastline.

Day 9: Doubtful Bay to Raft Point

Take advantage of your last chance to catch a Barra at low tide, followed by more exploring and a fresh water swim before catching the outgoing tide to Raft Point. Relax on the bow as you take in the sunset surrounding Raft Point.

Day 10: Silica Beach to Cone Bay

Start the day with a light stroll along the white sandy shoreline of Silica Beach, jump back onboard the tenders to explore the cluster of islands and whirlpool currents in the Buccaneer Archipelago. It’s your last chance to have a go at catching some pelagic fish. Cruise towards Cone Bay and savour the Kimberley sunset for one last time followed by dinner delights served by your onboard chef.

Day 11: Cygnet Bay

Awake as we lift the anchor and cruise into Cygnet Bay. As the tenders take you ashore, sadly it’s time to say farewell to the crew as you board the air-conditioned bus to transfer you to Broome.
