Day 1: Boarding

We start your Kimberley adventure with a 3-hour air-conditioned coach transfer from Broome to Cygnet Bay, sit back and relax as you learn about the surrounding country. Join a Pearl Farm tour of the remarkable Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, and have the opportunity to view the showroom onsite. Board the vessel and enjoy the afternoon cruise with sunset drinks on the bow as we steam into the evening across the racing tide.

Day 2: Yampi Sound to Talbot Bay (Horizontal Falls)

We’ll start our day with a refreshing swim in a secret freshwater water pool, or maybe try our luck at catching a fish, before taking a scenic cruise past Koolan Island as we make our way into Talbot Bay to view and experience one of the ‘greatest wonders of the natural world’, the Horizontal Waterfalls.

Day 3: Collier Bay

Today we cruise to Collier Bay, home of the largest tides in the Southern Hemisphere – a truly amazing spectacle to behold. The day can be spent exploring one of several creek systems or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, a climb and swim in a freshwater watering hole. This afternoon we set sail to the northern reach of Doubtful Bay.

Day 4: Doubtful Bay/Montgomery Reef

Doubtful Bay, and the options are aplenty! Tides will dictate our daily activities, but there will be the opportunity to throw in a line, maybe try your hand at some mud crabbing, as well as numerous swimming holes and waterfalls to visit. Spend the afternoon observing the phenomenon that is the truly amazing Montgomery Reef system. Watch as the reef literally rises from the ocean on the dropping tide and reveals all its hidden wonders- a day you will truly remember.

Day 5: Camden Harbour to Hanover Bay

Start the day by visiting Camden Harbour and Sheep island- the failed settlement attempt by early Europeans. Then we’ll cruise through Port George taking in some Pearling history before arriving at Hanover Bay for an afternoon excursion, fishing, and a sunset beach walk.

Day 6: Prince Regent River

Wake up to the grandeur of your surroundings as we cruise down into the Prince Regent River. Then it’s out in the tenders to explore the tributaries and enjoy the day at King Cascade. There is also another opportunity to enjoy a freshwater swim in one of the crystal-clear tiered pools at the top. Back on board for a sunset cruise back out of the river with drinks on the bow to reflect on this incredible place.

Day 7: Careening Bay & Hunter River

Start the day with an early walk to the historic ‘Mermaid Tree’ before cruising into Prince Frederick Harbour and viewing the ancient headland formations that frame the entry to the Hunter River. Great fishing and crabbing are available for enthusiasts, or just enjoy a tour of one of the most scenic rivers in the Kimberley.

Day 8: Winyalkin Island

Spend the morning collecting the delicious Kimberley Black Lip Oyster, before wetting a line to try your hand at landing a decent pelagic. After lunch, it’s time to view some of the amazing Rock Art that is on offer in the bay, with Gwion Gwion and Wandjina styles both available.

Day 9: Swift Bay

Another day of magnificent beaches and incredible art sites. Relax and take in the scenery that the bay has to offer as we cruise and explore Swift Bay. Take in another breathtaking sunset and enjoy the culinary delights served by your onboard chef.

Day 10: Vansittart Bay

There are so many options in this magnificent bay. Tides will let us choose from several incredible Wandjina Art sites, a visit to a historic plane wreck, visit Jar Island to view more Gwion Gwion Art, chase down some Mangrove jacks in the fishing department, or tangle with some powerful Queenfish and Giant Trevally to see how the arms are holding up!

Day 11: King George River

Today is a day you definitely won’t forget. The grandeur of the King George River will leave an impression sure to last. Relax on the bow as we take an early morning cruise up the river to where it terminates in the Twin Falls- the highest twin falls in the Kimberley at 80m high. Then we’ll take a walk to the top and swim in one of the many pools on offer while taking in the amazing view back down the river. The afternoon will be spent getting up close and personal with the gorge walls before returning to the Kimberley Pearl to enjoy the evening dinner on the top deck under the stars- a truly wonderful and memorable day.

Day 12: Koolama Bay / Berkeley River

Spend the morning reliving some WW2 history in Koolama Bay and Pengali Cove before making our way south to the Berkeley River. Upon arrival, we’ll cross the sand bars that guard the entrance, then take a scenic cruise through the winding gorge with its towering cliffs.

Day 13: Berkeley River

A day spent out in the tenders exploring the river gorges, waterfalls, creeks, and swimming holes. Throw a line in at your last opportunity to land that elusive Barramundi before the afternoon cruise out of the river, across the sand bars, and onto Wyndham.
