• We charge a flat nightly rate per person for all of our cruises so this means all of our cabins are equal price. All of our cabins include the same features, which are a double bed with king single bunk bed above and private ensuite.

  • These time for each trip will differ slightly departing on tides, however the departure time for each trip will be in the morning on the first day. Disembarkation will also be in the morning with arrival back into Broome or Kununurra by early afternoon. We recommend guests stay in town 1 night pre and post cruise to allow for any delays and to ensure no flights or charter departure is missed.

  • Kimberley Pearl is equipped with three tenders which are custom built for the Kimberley and fishing, and are licensed to carry six passengers at a time. Each tender is 5 meters long with a 70 horsepower engine. With a total of 12 guests onboard, these three tenders ensure everyone can go out on excursions at the same time and provide flexibility in excursions available.

  • We travel with a maximum of 12 guests and we have 5 experienced crew members onboard. Our crew comprises of a Vessel Master, First Mate, Deckhand, Guest Relations and most importantly an onboard Chef!

  • Kimberley Pearl is a BYO vessel and we do not operate an onboard bar service. In the weeks prior to departure, all guests will be provided with a form to order their own drinks of choice with a local bottleshop. Payment is made directly to the bottleshop and your order will be transported to the vessel ready for your arrival!

All non alcoholic drinks are provided onboard.

  • We get asked this question a lot, but we find it difficult to answer as it depends on your interests and personal preferences.

March – April is ‘waterfall season’ as it is the best time to see waterfalls flowing in the Kimberley from the wet season. The temperature at time this is quite warm & humid but it is an experience in itself seeing the landscape flourish from the recent rain and watching glimpses of rain cells pass lands on the horizon. This is the time of year when the ‘big’ waterfalls such as King George Falls are in flow before drying up as the year progresses.

May – August is ‘dry season’ as the temperature & humidity cools off with sunny days and clear blue sky. The cooler weather makes it a great time to be outside exploring the coast line visiting historic sites and spotting wildlife.

September – October is ‘build up’ as the temperature warms up and cloud begin to appear ahead of the wet season. The water temperature also begins to warm up which makes the conditions very good for fishing, especially for the elusive barramundi!

  • All bookings include; complimentary duffel bag for luggage, transfers from your accommodation on the day of departure and disembarkation, experienced crew and on-board chef, all meals, soft drinks, tea and coffee, fishing equipment and daily activities.

  • Yes it certainly is! All fishing excursions are completely optional and is just one of the many activities we do, so you can fish as little as you like (or if you get hooked you can fish as much as you like!). Generally, there will be a tender available to do a scenic excursion whilst the other tenders go fishing.

  • Being a smaller vessel allows us to stick closer to the coast and be in the protection of bay & rivers that much larger vessels can’t reach. However sometimes during longer transits the wind and swell doesn’t stop for us. If you are prone to seasickness you may like to bring some travel sickness pills or ginger tablets with you as a precaution.

  • Whilst the stunning blue waters look tempting, we are in crocodile country so unfortunately no diving or snorkeling is permitted. However, there will be many opportunities for freshwater swims at secluded waterholes along the coastline.

Diving & snorkeling is allowed on Rottnest Island private charters.

  • We can store cars and & caravans at our onsite premise in Broome, please contact the our office if you would like to store your vehicles with us.

Unfortunately we do not have an premise in Kununurra so you will need to contact the Kununurra Visitor Centre to find out available options.

  • Further information about this will be provided prior to your departure date. All guests are provided with a soft duffel bag to use for the trip and are requested to pack no more than 10kgs each due to the handling and stowage of luggage.

Due to the climate of the Kimberley and nature of activities, clothing is generally light weight, loose fitting & sun smart. A washing machine is available to use throughout the cruise.

  • Kimberley Pearl Charters requests that guests are in good health to participate on our cruise. Please detail and medical or physical conditions at time of booking. Guests will need to bring enough medication (if required regularly) for the cruise duration. Kimberley Pearl carries and extensive medical kit onboard, with first aid kits in all tenders ad on all walks.

All guests are required to take out comprehensive travel insurance for the trip, and are responsible for any emergency medical or rescue services summoned at the discretion of the Vessel Master in relation to any illness or injury.
